Brian Gaither was born to Bobby and Deborah Gaither in Winston Salem, North Carolina where he grew up and graduated from Mount Tabor High School in 1999. He continued his education at the University of Western Carolina after receiving an athletic scholarship to play football.  It was there at Western Carolina that he met his future wife, LaWanna.  After graduating from Western Carolina in 2003, Brian continued his football career as a free agent with the Baltimore Ravens.  When he was released the following year, he decided against pursuing a professional football career.

 

Upon returning to Winston Salem, he once again attended New Life Family Worship Center, where he had been a member since age 12.  He then married LaWanna in 2005.  Under the teaching of Pastor Beechard Moorefield, Brian received the calling of the Lord on his life for ministry.  The calling soon became evident to many others in the church as well.  In 2010, he accepted the call.  After four years, Pastor Beechard retired from the pastoral role, and on July 6, 2014, Brian became Pastor of New Life International Pentecostal Fellowship.  Now, as pastor of New Life Church of Winston Salem, he, along with his lovely wife and two beautiful children, brings very capable leadership to the church and its ministries.

 

Pastor Brian has a passion for finishing the vision God has given New Life.  He believes the vision of the church is to focus on demonstrating the love of God through “People helping people through the knowledge of Christ.” It is imperative that the body of Christ understand that everyone is in a different arena of growth, development, and spiritual awareness.  Because of this, the goal of New Life Church of Winston Salem is to provide an atmosphere where everyone can grow in the knowledge of Christ and experience the love of God on a personal level.  New Life Church of Winston Salem seeks to provide a wide variety of ministries, including children’s church, youth ministries, singles and married couples’ ministries, young women’s ministry, and ministries for men and women. New ministries are in the process of being developed. 

 

Going forward, the goal of New Life Winston Salem is one of winning the lost to Jesus, teaching them to become who God purposed them to be, and releasing them with the empowerment given to them by Jesus Christ to produce the blessing of the Lord in the earth.  New Life Winston Salem is all about crossing ethnic, economic, and generational boundaries, joining everyone together under the name of Jesus.  We believe that when you come to Jesus, He will not cast you away.  There is a life in Christ that surpasses anything anyone has ever known or experienced.  Join us as we usher in His presence and allow the Lord to heal, deliver, and restore.
